Weird regression issue in CFM
Just finished our first regular season in an online CFM. I am playing the Jets. I spent the season building up Geno Smith's accuracy, so going into week 17 he was at 80/80/71 SAC/MAC/DAC. After we advanced to the playoffs, he is now at 80/68/71. Why would he lose 12 points of MAC randomly like that? Also I have not noticed any other regression, none of my players lost any speed (or anything else that I can notice). The Lions said Matthew Staffords DAC dropped to 62, so it seems to be a QB accuracy thing. Anyone else notice anything weird?Tags: None -
Re: Weird regression issue in CFM
I've seen this after a QB throws three picks in one game. I've also seen a similarly large drop in INJ after an injury. If my starting QB throws two picks, the backup comes in.Just finished our first regular season in an online CFM. I am playing the Jets. It happened at the end of the regular season, and to a bunch of different QBs. They lost significant points in 1 accuracy rating, neither of the other ones were affected, and no other players had any regression yet in any stat.Comment

Re: Weird regression issue in CFM
Crack, it has be to he started doing crack to lose 12 points in accuracy . Did you check the stories to see if it mentioned him doing crack?
Just another one of those horrible regression ideas. Is it not enough we cant hardly build a player up?

I would assume its because he has slow development trait. That's the only thing I can think of. Usually the regression doesn't hit hard until players are in their 30s.Comment

Re: Weird regression issue in CFM
Usually regression is tied to whether or not you meet Goal #2 for a specific player.
For a starting QB, seems like the standard Goal #2 is 24 passing TDs. If you don't get 24, I imagine the QB accuracy will regress. Probably throw in how many INTs you threw into that equation.
I've seen this some in M15, but haven't made it through a season in M16 yet.
But in M15 each player regression was tied to their goal #2.Comment

Re: Weird regression issue in CFM
My top goal for Geno was 20 TDs and I threw 34. Plus, regression hasn't happened yet in our league, the playoffs are still going on. The ONLY regression that happened in the whole league was several QBs losing a siginficant amount in 1 and only 1 accuracy stat (mainly either MAC or DAC) and no rhyme or reason as to why.Comment

I'm hoping this isn't the case anymore. I know someone at ea said regression was tweaked this year. We haven't made it to offseason yet so I'll find found soon hopefully.Usually regression is tied to whether or not you meet Goal #2 for a specific player.

Re: Weird regression issue in CFM
Interesting that you point this out, I'm in an offline CFM using the Saints and noticed the exact same regression with Garrett Grayson and he's been the starter all season breaking the single season TD record. There was a 4 point regression in his medium passing accuracy after advancing into the playoffs. He may have also lead the league in interceptions or was close to the top but either way thought this was odd given his overall performance in his rookie season.Just finished our first regular season in an online CFM. Re: Weird regression issue in CFM
This happened in my CFM as well to a few owners. The most alarming case was as follows.
Ryan Nassib: 222/399 56% 4,409 yards 41 TD 24 INT QBR 102.8.
Also won the MVP that season.
Nassib's stock attributes going into the season
88 THP, 83 SAC, 85 MAC, 64 DAC.
By the end of the season, Nassib's DAC was up to 78
As soon as the league advanced past Week 17, his DAC dropped to 68. Roughly an entire season's worth of XP wiped so effortlessly.
Based on the season Nassib had, I don't see how a 10 point drop in DAC was warranted. There has got to be a glitch in the programming that is causing these regressions. We tried to bring it to EA's attention (Rex on twitter) but it has been under the radar so far. We need to compile more data to figure out what the heck is going on.
The problem is only more magnified this year with progression being as difficult as it as and XP as scarce as it is. There is no way to justify regressing 10 DAC.Comment

I've had similar things happen with my RB's BCV. He's a beast but keeps dropping during the season, I've raised it up at least twice now and it keeps falling back down to 89.Comment
