Edit Roster without Salary Cap

Is there a way to edit the rosters form the main menu (to be used later for Play now or CFM or other modes) with the salary cap off? I typically remove the salary caps when I start CFM but would like to make all of the edits in advance. Anyone know a way?

I'm not too sure what you mean with salary cap off? You can edit rosters from main menu yes, it's just under cutomize > manage rosters. You can't edit hardly anything once you start your Franchise.

I mean to turn off salary cap for purposes of roster moves. For instance if I try to move Calvin Johnson to the Patriots it will say that this would put them over the cap and disallow such a move. Is there a way to turn this off without the manual move of lowering his stats and releasing him (then getting him as a FA)?

Probably won't work because the thought of Calvin Johnson on the Pats makes me want to throw up
