If the first attribute isn't at least a B or better (not B-) I go no further. There are so many players who fit that mold that I get amazing results combining that with the combine results. In my opinion C+ or better leaves too many average players to go through.

But the OP may be in a 32-team online CFM, and if that is the case, ignore what I said.

Nah man, op (me) didn't make the guide, and I agree with you. I might go back to a b- guy at the end of the season if I'm out of guys to scout, but I'm a little more picky then the guy in the video lol

first thing i do is scout every qb completely but usually the important thing for qbs you cant scout now is traits, ie paranoid, aggressive, dont throw away etc

Think people are really missing what's great about this...the DRAFT chart not the scouting guide. Being able to know almost exactly what everything translates to, you don't even need to fully scout a player at all.

ideally combine should give wunderlic, and full medical history ie inj

It's already too easy to scout in this game (although I do prefer this system to the previous one). In one season you can easily fully scout the first 4 rounds of the draft and still have points left over. I wish they would scale back the number of points or raise the point values for each attribute.

Sure, that still gives you 3 rounds of players you now know the approximate ratings for as well.

If I ever get time to play madden again I'll sim a season and check, but I'm not sure why this particular formula would change.

Yeah I've noticed that it's way too easy to scout. With 175 points per week, you can fully reveal attributes for almost 6 players (30 pts per player). Do that for weeks 3-17 (15 weeks) and you can reveal the true draft value for 90 players, or the first three rounds of the draft. Considering only about a quarter of the players will fit your systems, you can easily target exactly who you want. I'm going to impose my own scouting system so I'm going to limit myself to only 100 points used/week next season and beyond.
