I've seen roadman post to this effect, but I can't find the post where he links to the specific statement that CFM is a major priority. I know I've seen a link on the subject here though.
Re: Madden becoming the gold standard, I'm a huge advocate for this year's game and its development team, but I think it's a huge reach to say that in a year Madden can supplant MLBTS and NBA2K as the gold standard for sports games.
They have the vision and the talent now, I believe, to accomplish this in 3-5 years, but as it stands there are too many things wrong with or underdeveloped in the game for Madden to even come close to that status in '17.
I think if they don't bork game play, if they improve CFM drastically, and if they add full editing, they will be very close. But they have to deliver 3 solid year over year improvements for me to even have that conversation. I could this game as 1 solid year over year performance.
