How: at pre snap on offense, hit LB / L1 then move the right stick to the left or right to slide pass protection left or right; alternatively move the right stick up to pinch the protection inward.
Why: if you suspect an overload blitz of some kind from the defense based on formation or tendency. For example, if you see the defensive formation overloaded on the lefthand side, you may want to call slide protection left to give your linemen a mental head-start in blocking them.
