Weird contract glitch, double charging me?

I resigned James Winston to a six year 96m contract. Base salary 6m per year, bonus 10m per year. This immediately deducted 120m from my available funds and my available cap space for next year dropped by 12.5m as opposed to his projected 6.25m hit. Basically, it double charged me. I confirmed this by advancing the week and going into my finances where it said I had spent 120M on player bonuses the past week.

This is in an offline franchise and the autosave has already overwritten itself.

Has anyone seen this before, and is there a cure? Right now it looks like I'm stuck trading him to flee the double cap hit and hoping I can make my money back.

Working as intended. You paid the money for his bonus up front via Owner funds, but that total value of the contract is still going to count against your cap regardless.

But why would it deduct 120m from my funds when his entire contract was only 96m?

Sorry I misread. It should have only deducted 60 mil from your funds, weird.

Yea, I've never seen it before. It doubled his bonus and yearly cap hit.

We had this happen in our online franchise. Same thing, resigned a contract and totals were doubled. No fix that were are aware of. We were able to clear that guys cap penalty but not real good fix.

I'm seeing this with all Quarterbacks you resign, even with the CPU teams. Their re-signing will even show up twice on the transactions page.

If you have a manual franchise save you can still back out and load a franchise therefore getting past the autosaved franchise.Good to use when something happens that you'd rather not deal with.
