PS4 saved/resume data

Does anybody know whats the point of the Saved/Resume Data on the ps4? I play my madden cfm online. so does this do anything for me

I doubt it does a online cfm any good since u are playing online after awhile it would disconnect u from the server.

Unless I'm wrong it only be good for offline cfm.

It doesn't do anything for madden online because like AZ said, after a while of inactivity you're disconnected from Madden's servers. Once madden figures out how to save and upload your stats and scores in the event of being disconnected during a game (like ncaa14 could) then saved/resume will be a useful feature.
