Coach experience disappearing in franchise mode

So I just got done playing a game, and I had over 1500 exp points to upgrade my coach. I advanced the week, did the game prep, and when I went to see if I could upgrade my coach I only had 80exp points. Where the hell did all the exp points go?! It's week 15 now and I only have 80 exp points. How the hell am I supposed to ever upgrade my coach if the points keep disappearing? Has this stupid problem ever happened to anyone else while playing madden 15 on last gen? How do you fix this stupid problem?

I didn't have it happen in 15 before I upgraded to ps4. Maybe check the last gen Madden forum for a fix or to see if it's an issue of maybe a fix.

Yea where you set every week, 4 weeks, etc. That will use your xp but if you had it off then idk what to tell you
