Bless you Roadman for asking this. I'm not even looking to have XP replaced, just an optional progression system based on realism. Realistic ways to gain experience and realistic ways to assign improvement.

Basically, the ability to play offense for both teams with one controller

Gotcha. I never really thought about this, but it makes sense for offline CFM. I think this may speak more to their movement more towards online CFM. I'll build this into a question around the possible push towards online CFM over offline.

Really quality interview. Although my question was answered in the first 5 minutes I listened to the whole thing.

Re: Madden 17 developer interview series

So John White says that the majority of the people enjoy the XP system. Obviously that isn't the case here, but if we take him at his word XP, is definitely here to stay. He did mention the possibility of add optional mechanics to make more aspects of the system hidden from the User for those who want that kind of experience. We'll see if that ever really becomes a viable option. It seems clear that a return to a traditional progression is simply not going to happen.

He mentioned wanting to add coordinators to the game, but only if it is fully fleshed out big ticket addition. So if it gets in it should be awesome, but given that it will probably be a resource intensive feature, I feel like if may not make the cut if a large number of CFM Users don't clamor for it.

I like that they flipped the script on the draft points, making it much harder to scout everyone, as well as not having the storyline players always been potential superstars.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.
