I have a question about this.

What if I am an offline CFM player? Can I play "online" and still play by myself? What are the pros and cons of doing this? Is there anything that I won't get by playing online CFM if I"m the only player?

I do it every year. The primary benefits are MUCH faster simming since it offloads simming to the server and server side fixes to CFM that offline players have to wait for a patch to get.

One advantage to offline, stopping a game midway through and being able to pick back up. Cant do that with online leagues. Both seem to have pros and cons and not sure one is a clear cut winner here.

This is true. It doesn't reconnect to CPU games.

For me, getting the server side fixes instead of having to wait for a patch for many issues, makes the online CFM the clear winner.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

So wait, as an example, if I'm playing a game and I can't finish it and save the game in the 3rd quarter and come back to it later, I can't do this in online cfm? Only offline?

I might be able to deal with that because online is faster so to speak.

The issue is that when you sleep your console it loses connection to the server. I don't think it saves states of CPU games in online franchises if you willingly close the game.

offline only. internet screws up madden way too much. i tend to play using PS remote play using three monitors on my mac. that way, i can have a spreadsheet up tracking draft targets.

usually control between 10 and 14 teams, trying to only draft players that fit their scheme/player type. i like to have six really good teams that make winning SB very hard. make the NFC tougher than the AFC.
