Will be interesting to see how it holds up over time, wonder if it'll get stale quickly.

It shouldn't with the weekly updates to commentary, perfect scenario for that I thought of this morning, assuming they can get the naming license for it, they can add commentary for Hard Rock Stadium now and talk about the name itself, applies to all modes of the game.

I'd probably say the same thing to be honest, even games that have amazing commentary (2k and MLB the show) kind of get glossed over since I'm usually so focused on the game.

Just figured I wanted to stand up for this guy because there are people like us who really don't care about the commentary that much.
I actually preferred the 08 radio guy to Collinsworth and Simms, two of the most annoying in the business.

Re: UPROXX.com: Madden 17 Review

You cant really be taken seriously after saying commentary sounds the same. I mean you can say its no better or of equal quality (thats an opinion) but sounds the same (thats wrong)

Re: Madden 17 Video Review by FranchisePlay

Seems like a fair review. Mentioned both positives and negatives.

Re: We Got This Covered: Madden 17 Review

Stopped reading after reviewer saying Madden 16/17 was king of it's genre. Sounds a bit biased. My opinion is Madden is still trying to catch NBA2K in game quality (Just my opinion)

The other review (the video review) seemed much more reliable.

Re: IGN : Madden NFL 17 Review

"where's the banter, where's the chemistry?" Anyone else puzzled by these reviews regarding commentary? I mean not having played the game I've heard a lot of banter and chemistry in these 5 minute videos alone.

Re: UPROXX.com: Madden 17 Review

I readily admit I could be wrong, but I think the "can't tell a difference" line was in relation to the new tech driving the commentary, rather than not being able to tell it was different at all.

I think that's probably fair, to an extent, as one might not be able to notice if the improvements are a virtue of new tech or the new team (for most of us, it's probably both).

The fact that he didn't better qualify that makes it muddled of course, but that was kind of the tone of the whole review. It was generally vague and organized more like the type of impressions post you'd see here rather than a formal review (Plus, outside of a few details, I feel like I could have written most of that just by browsing the available videos).

Huh?
I feel like I'm missing something here. IS there anything revolutionary to the genre in your opinion? Or are you just confused why he threw that in at the end?
