Simple gameplay questions/tips I am seeking regarding shutting down the zone running from the gun formation.

1. How do I shut down the inside zone running when my opponent is using max protect from the gun formation? Which defender do I control? What defensive adjustments/formation should I use?

2. How do I shut down the outside zone running when my opponent is using max protect from the gun formation? Which defender do I control? What defensive adjustments/formation should I use?

3. What does Max Protection really do? Why can't I shut down the run game when my friend adjust his line to max protection. Is there a way to combat max protection effectively?

I don't play online, but I'm just curious as to the specifics of your question. R u saying he is using max protection for RUN plays? Cause, Max protection should only affect pass plays. On running plays, everyone is a blocker, so max protect shouldn't affect anything. Unless, it is magically changing where the blocking 'effort' goes which should work against him. Lol. But, anyways, just curious. Against the CPU, when the CPU runs out of shotgun a lot, in M16, the 1 LB Blitz was the best play to shut that down, imo. Because, it blitzed 1 lb hard inside, and the other lb is manned up on the RB. So, u tend to see plays blown up in the backfield. This doesn't feel like it works as well in M17 so far. But, I still think it's a legit strategy. Again, this against the CPU. So, not sure about hum control.

I think I asked this last year, but I don't recall the answer and I had not played Madden 16 in a bit. When I click on a corner and I can shift right or left, is it his right or his left or the screen right or left? I am assuming right on one side would play the outside, but right on the other side would play in the inside? Just get confused by it.

The thing is I don't play against cpu. I play h2h. It's easy to stop cpu run
