I think it should be somewhat dynamic instead of static for a particular positions. John Jefferson lost almost all his speed over one offseason, some WR's seem to keep there speed into their low 30's.

I don't want to have to worry about stat chasing and winning medals in order to keep a WR's speed beyond 27-28. It's so inorganic.

If so, that's weak. IMO. Not a fan of this system if that is the case.
So a player that is going to be over 30 years old shouldn't lose a little speed every year that he ages?

Am I hearing that right?

Re: Regression in 17

I just read every post in this thread and there have been some very good points brought up. However, we have 9 pages of back and forth based on ONE SIMMED SEASON. If we are going to have a serious discussion about this, we need someone (I would, but I am working...kinda) to sim multiple seasons. Not only simming years into the future but also simming 2016 over and over again to see if the following holds true:

-Everyone at every position starts regressing at age 29
-AJ Green regresses no matter what every year the same amount of points
-Effects of other positions in regard to regressing

Exactly. And while we're at it, let's do multiple teams and multiple years and show some screenshots that are showing these numbers. This way we'll know if it's really broken.

I'm basically doing this now.

He wasn't a RAC guy at all, and his ability to win on the Go route depended a lot on a poor jam attempt at the line, but otherwise he was an absolute monster.

I also don't think SPD is something EA is in denial about at all with respect how valuable the attribute is perceived to be; it's at the forefront of all their Top 5 player ratings reveals media, and it's a large component of the OVR rating at most positions.
Is most of your experience vs CPU or vs USERS in a league setting?

In my experience, coming from mostly user games in CFM the last two years, speed is still a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE factor. HUGE.

Just my perspective based on my experience, of course.

I've seen a RB who as like 58 OVR dominate because he had 97 speed. Just one small example.

No argument from me!

I'm just saying I'm ok with it. It's way better than the -10's we had. If a -2 is the cap I'm pretty damn happy.
