Madden 17 Everything Playbooks (custom) for the CPU or user

So I went in and started messing around with the playbooks and something interesting I noticed is that from the my game plan tab, the add play button caps out at 30 for any given situation. Now obviously you can add I believe an unlimited amount of plays to any given situation but it makes me wonder if the gameplan itself only takes into account the top 30 rated once it gets into the game. Going to test with a playbook and the suggestions and see if it might be the case.

Edit: Maybe not. I always thought the coach suggestions were based on your gameplan but I quickly found out that isn't the case.

Another question I have is how does this all work in relation to sliders? I was going to start up a game earlier and when you log into a second account it has its own sliders and difficulty separate from the ones I'm using.

Also, I set the CPU to use Balanced playbook on offense, and I can attest the playcalling was much improved. Sure, it was pretty vanilla but it was nice to see that they didn't really call any 4 verts, and on 3rd and long a couple times they called a run play or short screen, which is far more common in the NFL than just chucking it (NFL plays for field position when they are at 3rd and 20 or whatever).

I am going to download the custom playbooks later and try those.

Any good info I could use to help do PS4 playbooks when I have time?

What do you need specifically? Help with doing it in Madden or real world play calling data?

Went into CFM and tested this and sliders do work properly. I was worried it might use the user sliders for both sides since it's technically a User v. User game but I jacked the Kickoff Power up to 100 and the opening kickoff only went to about the 10 or 15 so it was definitely using the CPU sliders.

I'm going to start doing the Chiefs schedule of Playbooks, but I might skip some if vann has them done because just taking a glance at the Steelers one, it's far more detailed than mine will likely be. I started doing a Chargers one last night and got pretty carried away and was adding way too many plays to too many situations and eventually got to the point where it wouldn't let me star plays anymore so I'm going to try to be a little more conservative with how I add plays and maybe you can help me with that vann.

I was following your post in the first few pages pretty closely but the main situations I got carried away with were first downs and the red zone. I was adding virtually every play to those just for varieties sake but it was definitely way too many and I ended up with basically every version of certain play types, just out of different formations, in those situations. I could definitely consolidate them a lot better without going overboard or losing much variety. I think I'm going to scrap the original I did because I didn't even finish and then basically go through each formation and pick the better plays from each one and go from there.

It should change the coaching suggestions too! Depends on how high or low they are starred.
It changed my Redskins Playcalling....

Lol I did the same thing and got carried away adding plays to situations, really not needed.
I'm considering just giving the CPU apx 70 total plays and giving the "team specific" plays the highest stars in certain situations.
We could fine tune the team we are facing week to week to keep from getting epilepsy from all the plays and stars lol.

Btw, I've said this a few times already but the teams defensive default PBs are saddening, no wonder we find the CPU so easy to move the ball against.
I bet if we get the CPUs defensive playcalling logic improved, like we are for the offenses, we wouldn't need to change the gameplay sliders.
Almost everybodys biggest gripe vs the CPU is the playcalling logic on offense and defense, and the repetitive way they have it setup by default.

I thought it would since it's done based on situation but I created a playbook with 31 plays on first down and 30 of them were dives, plunges, etc. and one was a pass but when I got in game I did notice a lot of dives but there were random passes mixed in as well so I think it combines them with the community suggestions or something as well.

I think more than likely the CPU would use more than the 30 alotted as long as they're in the situation but it seemed out that add play became greyed out after thirty despite being able to add more. Might mess with a little bit more just to confirm, all it takes is them using the 31st play once for it to be confirmed so it shouldn't be too hard, just a little time consuming.
