What if we had a system in place?

On first down damn near the entire playbook should be at the cpu disposal...Second and long should be stuff that gets them in to a more manageable 3rd down...second and medium can be the entire playbook... second and short can be big plays with play action mixed in with some runs, quick passes...etc etc

What I noticed about the generic playbook is all plays are rated half a star... I wonder if that's what makes them mix it up so much without prioritzing one play over the other?

To take it a step further, what if we just out one play in the game plan, rate it a half star, does the cpu only call that play all game or will that allow them to pick other plays from the book?

EDIT: scratch that last part, they'll ONLY call that play lol... Makes you wonder why the hell EA would only program the CPU with just 15-20 per situations if they invest all that time in these damn playbooks?

EDIT II: after messing with you're only allowed a max of 30 plays per situation... Again ridiculous... The strategy becomes kind of pointless when you can only use so much of the playbook...

Defense/default is lacking even less than that.
I think once we get this star system down, we can really help the CPUs gameplan week to week.

I truthfully feel half star is the key here as that's what the generic playbook do and they give the best variety in the entire game... The issue lies in how limited we are in the amount of plays per situation... There's 456 plays in the cards playbook, 33 different sets out of 6 formations... How the hell are they supposed to be able to build a gameplan when you're completely handicap from using all that at their disposal?

I feel our efforts can take the game far but only so far... The beauty in football is when I come out early in the game in ace and hit you with a stretch play early only to come out in the exact formation later and play action off that same play...

Not sure how hard it would be for ea to just allow an unlimited amount of plays per situation...

You could add all 456 to a situation if you wanted to. Just go to the my playbook area and go play by play selecting each play and star the situation. I'm assuming some of you are just hitting add play and it cuts you off at 30? Havnt run in to this problem.

Swagger can you switch from player to coach back to player in cfm? If so does that mean we can make formation subs for each CPU team? 32 team cfm?

So on PS4 i made a quick one for the Rams since I played them first in my Lions CFM, PSN is Teefmummy if anyone wanted to try it.

I weighed runs heavier than most of the pass plays and it resulted in having LA run Gurley 38 times for 205 out of varied formations, and Mettenberger (Goff as hurt) had about 24 attempts. 15 min with runoff to 19. They still didn't really try many deep passes though, plus i didn't mess with the passes a lot besides adding some that weren't evven starred and removed most of the 4 verts.

So, it may not be the best, but its something different.

Yeah you can switch over to another team's coach profile, make just about any adjustments you want with them, retire them, then create a player profile for that team.

In the past, when I edited another team's scheme as their coach or made depth chart adjustments, they stuck when I switched over to that team's 3rd string QB.
