Are stretch plays overpowered?

Is it me or are stretch plays over powered. I've been playing the game and watching streams and a lot of people abuse singleback ace formation stretch play. It seems the RB moving as the QB hands off the ball is an advantage and the WR holds their blocks extra long. How do you defend against some of these abused runs?

Re: Are stretch plays overpowered?

NOPE. Cover 2 hard edge shuts down outside runs.

Rock that safety down man. Defense must protect the edges. Also, slanting the line does a lot more than it used to.

Re: Are stretch plays overpowered?

Yes. I'm getting destroyed by the stretch unless I'm in cover 2. The problem is I barely play Cover 2! Even sometimes when I'm in cover 2 hard flat they still get outside, I think the WR blocking is the issue. WR's crush my corners more often then not. I'm sure this will be patched, but in the meantime I suggest usering a safety on run downs.

Not from my experience thus far. When I run them, I'd say 80% of the time they take away the edge so I cut back up field through any crease given.

Also if you are manually using the defender who's job is to keep the edge, you must do just that. It's very easy to allow that play to get to the outside if not assignment sound on D.

80% of the users I see just hammer the turbo button and charge the edge. They don't look for the cut
