Okay This Is Super frustrating! I Need Help In Finding A Solution.

I made a thread a few weeks ago asking a question if EA is going to fix a serious issue that plagued me and my brother in Madden 16. This year for Madden 17 the same issues are happening again!

THE PROBLEM: We can't play online at the same time. When he is playing an online game I can't play any modes online. I either get an error code from Madden or it keeps searching (longer than usual) for a game untill I get an error code but never get into a game. We each own separate PS4, we each have our own PS Plus with our own Username, and we each have our own copies of Madden.

I know it's an EA thing because earlier we ran a test....When my brother was playing Madden 17 online I popped in EA UFC 2 (another EA game) and I couldn't get into an online games. So I tried Battlefield Hardline (also an EA game) and I get the same results...I couldn't get into any multiplayer modes.

To prove we wasn't tripping and that it's not our connection I popped in NBA 2k16 and I got into games easily. I popped in GTA V and the online for that works fine. Does anyone have a solution to fix this? Right now I am beyond frustrated because we put money into this. It's really unfair to us.

I have never heard of this happening to anyone else. My suggestion is this :

go to https://help.ea.com/en/

fill out the info it asks, and when given the choice , pick the chat option. Ive used this line of help from EA numerous times over the years. Do NOT be beligerant . Just remain calm, and explain what is going on. The person in chat should be able to either help you , or open a ticket with someone who can. Best of luck man, that sucks.

The router thing doesn't work. That's the only thing u mentioned that I thought might've work but it doesn't. Oh and yes I been googling and hitting other forums and still haven't resolved this problem.

Just read your post there, made me think of this , as possible something to try .

Let your bros ps4 be set up with your home auto ps4 connection .

On your ps4 - go in and manually set up your Ip. You can look before hand and see what your current settings are by clicking view internet connection :


Write down what your current Ip , Subnet mask, Default gateway,Primary DNS,Secondary DNS.

Then go set up your connection manually on ps4. select to do the IP manually. You Ip you wrote down copy the first 3 sets of numbers. But the last number after the . enter something like 130 instead of what ever it is.

Then for subnet mask, enter same thing you wrote down,
For Default gateway enter same thing you wrote down from before,
For Primary DNS enter 8.8.8.8 ( This is a google public address)
For Secondary DNS enter 8.8.4.4

Try that and then test connection, it should connect , then try to play at the same time, i dont know if it will help but is possible.

No i didnt have same issue as you , but ive had other issues before with ea games, that i found talking to someone in a chat directly was able to help fix, so its worth a shot to talk directly to them on it.

Sounds like it's a port issue. You can try designating one port for only on ps4, then set the ps4 to only use that port. I did this with my xbox.
