Ball carrier slide/dive/give up

I'm almost certain that if you give yourself up as a ball carrier in the NFL that you still need to be touched down by a defender. If not touched you can get up and continue running and that's not the case in madden. DEVS need to be aware of this.

No, if you give yourself up you are down. You do not need to be touched

This is True. If you give up, you're down. Generally when you see someone touching a ball carrier its just after they've caught it and gone to the ground.

Here is a good example of MJD declaring himself down in order to give his team the chance to run clock so that they can take the win with a FG/run more clock by running extra plays. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3fVn8TE2XM

It would be pretty lame for people to be able to "give up" then just get back up and keep running lol.

Likewise, when a qb starts his slide he is down. Linebackers just can't resist still hitting him. Like a dog and a squirrel.
