CBS Presentation

You know, I have always wondered something. For the past few years they have been using CBS' presentation style, even using CBS announcers, but they stop short of full presentation. NBA live uses ESPN presentation, so did NCAA football, and the old NCAA basketball games had an option to use a full CBS presentation. I just wonder why madden has never done this.

What do you guys think?

This has been discussed quite a lot here.

EA/Madden wishes to do their own presentation with smatterings of different styles from the different networks.

Also, since they want to use their own EA Sports beyond broadcast style, there is no way they would spend that extra money on a CBS license.

$$$$ and flexibility.

They'd have to pay CBS for the rights to use their stuff and then there's the possibility that CBS wouldn't want them to stray too far from their real life production so EA wouldn't be able to do some things they'd like to with the presentation. The overall presentation is good enough at this point that I think they made the right call.

They have the ESPN rights still correct? Why not use that? It's been a waste so far.
