CFM Rookies' Bodies -- What the...?

Not on all of them, but I'd say most linemen and the occasional LB.

I had a 6'7" 315 guy with a HUGE gut that made it so his weight should probably be closer to 400. No tweaking could fix it. Just horrible.

Then there are guys with little legs and "boxy" upper bodies -- look like ps3 sprites, if that makes sense. And the belly out/chest out thing on DE's.

What the hell? Can this be patched?

Can't say I've seen this. Can you post a few pictures?

I know what you mean with the boxy body and skinny legs. I drafted a superstar development DE who had that body. I messed with editing him and couldn't fix it. So I ended up trading him for a first rounder after one season because I was sick of looking at him. He looked like flats the flounder from spongebob

Go to edit player, and equip the player with a back plate.

I was getting annoyed with it as well until I noticed one day putting a back plate on a player "slims" their sides just enough to get rid of the "boxy" look.

I've also noticed a vast majority of player's from EA's rosters wear back plates, so I think it's how they work around it.

Would like full editing in cfm mode so we can deal with this. Silly EA limits some things like this.

My workaround has been to take another rookie and swap the attributes/identity. If you take an offensive lineman or DT you can switch position and then as you lower the weight the build looks pretty good. That's how I create my beast fullbacks and running backs.

This has been going on for ever since they invented Franchise mode.

This is why I requested in my past wishlists the body editor that is used to create a player be available in CFM. I wish we could also edit foot size like on the old PS2 Madden's. Some of the cleats are tough to equip with players because they are so large and look really weird.

Re: CFM Rookies' Bodies -- What the...?

I have this issues with a few of my rookies too. A few actually look great. But my best one, a MLB, is very strange to look at. HUGE upper body, but not the legs to match, and a small head. I too wish that we had back the PS2 editing tools. I used to spend hours altering my players to get them just right before I ever played a game. Loved doing that.
