Nothing like a BS injury to derail a season!

Hey all,

Just had probably the stupidest injury I've ever had in a Madden game. In the second quarter of my second game of a Tampa Bay franchise, I rolled out to scramble with Winston. Ran out of bounds to avoid a hit... and got hit WELL out of bounds, leaving Winston injured and no flag called (mind you, I've seen several late hit out of bounds flags, so I know they exist.)

The tally? Winston has a fractured toe. Out 8 games. I was rolling 17-0 when he got hurt and got robo QB'd twice in the last four minutes, losing 27-26. I'm now 0-2 and without Winston.

I've already had horrific injury luck in my Bears chise... but this one takes the cake. Ouch. Anyone else have this kind of rotten luck?

If anything, that screen shot looks fantastic on my phone.

Thats a tough way to go down but 'it' happens.

And the Vikings were supposed to be good and a possible playoff team and Teddy Bridgewater literally destroyed his knee on a simple drop back.

This was exactly what came to my mind as I read the OP...

Then also, The NFL player, I forget who, but was going to the Pro Bowl and tore his knee up while playing Volleyball? This was some years ago...

Re: Nothing like a BS injury to derail a season!

In my current franchise I lost Matt Stafford to a shoulder tear for a month in week 5 because I was still new to the sliding controls. We were 2-2 at the time and we had beaten the Packers 44-14 back in week 3, but after that injury I was stuck with Rudock/LeFevour/Manziel at QB until Stafford returned week 9. However, Stafford has thrown 5 TD's to 8 picks in his 3 games back and we're now 2-9 on the season.

But hey, the one positive of this disastrous season is we're slated to get the #3 pick if the season ended right now so hello Leonard Fournette! lol

Robert Edwards did it in 99 playing beach flag football. Pretty much ended his career too.

Lost Jaylon Smith, Sean Lee, and Dez in the same game with 2 weeks in the season. It sucks because it kept me from going far in the playoffs, but as I have seen in real life as a Cowboys fan, it happens.

Re: Nothing like a BS injury to derail a season!

Year 1 in my Ravens franchise I lose Steve Smith in week 1 with an injury that kept him out for 7 weeks.

In week 3 I lose Forsett for 6 weeks.

Then in week 6 I lose Flacco for the rest of the season.

I finished 5-11.

In year 2 I lost my MLB Jameel Mcclain for 9 weeks. He is only a 73 overall but that also tells you something about my backup (69 overall if you are wondering).

Then I lose my rookie 83 ovr CB for 8 weeks.

Then I lose Weddle for 7 weeks.

I'm currently 7-2.
Mcclain is about to make his return. My corner is cleared to return but I decided to keep him out as I don't face any pass heavy teams (browns and jets) until his scheduled return. Weddle should return around week 14.

On offense I lost Aiken (82 ovr) in week 7. I think he will be out for 6 weeks or so.
