Coaches challenging plays

The coaches challenging system continues to be a very weak element of Madden, and unfortunately it's no different in Madden 17.

But, the problem now is, we don't even get to see/hear the referee's call on the field? Play is challenged, ref goes to the booth, and then seconds later the only way you know if you got your call or not is by looking at the down and listening to the commentators.

I don't know if this is happening for everyone, but it just cuts to back on the playcall screen without me even seeing the ref go out on the field and give us the call.

I haven't seen a single challenge or opportunity to challenge yet.

Yes, every play I want to challenge says nothing to challenge.

Would be nice to have a system like all pro where you could choose to challenge anything on any given play, instead of having the game choose for me what to challenge.

Yep this happens for me all the time as well. Don't know why they changed that as it was perfectly fine in 16.

I've definitely seen the ref give the result of the challenge, though the crowd reaction often plays before he finishes, revealing the result. I haven't had a challenge post-patch though, maybe something was inadvertently changed there.

It's just not a smooth process at all. It feels very rushed and mis-timed.

I have seen about 4 or 5 challenges in Play of the moment and Cpu vs CPU. In none of them have i seen the ref finish the call, It shows the play is slow motion, Then the ref and all of the sudden it's back to the playing field with whom ever had the ball. The worst part is in three of those plays the receiver was clearly, clearly out of bounds out of bounds and not one play was reversed. In one play the receiver was clearly out and beyond the end zone. The play was challenged to see if the receiver had possession of the ball, which he did, but 5 yds out of the end-zone and the TD stood as a TD. I have yet to see one play reversed.
