interesting. it's a fairly common phrase back home for anyone to use.
I assume he is. "Roger That" originated in the military and I don't know that I've ever heard non-military use it.
I don't know for certain that he/is was in the military, but because of my deep gratefulness and respect for the military, I thanked him just in case.

Lots of vocab has a military root, especially in a port city like Liverpool. We share lots of our words with our naval/Royal Marines heritage.

Thanks for your thanks. I'm old and a civilian now!

You folks put your lives at risk to serve your country. That is something that everyone can respect.

maybe it's because i grew up in a port town too but i just figured it came from TV/films. my family has no military background but it's a phrase i heard plenty of growing up, along with "over & out" etc.

Over and Out is definitely a film saying. They are two different things and wouldn't be said by professionals
Over means 'I've finished talking and I'm awaiting your response'
Out means 'I'm done and expect no more communications until I next initiate'.

So essentially 'Over and Out' is 'Keep talking, No wait! Shut Up!'

Re: Pass Rush pause after finesse move

so back to this pass rush issue.............

have the devs said anything about looking into it? i've had a few user games where i should've been sacked by the user player but they would freeze in front of me. it's leading our league to believe the game is more scripted this cycle then last.

Sometimes, you say that just to mess with people ...

Re: Pass Rush pause after finesse move

Just a quick anecdotal here, but I tried a game w/o using the 'jump the snap' button and I had better results (as in more sacks). I'm thinking if you get in too fast it just spooks the QB into chucking it into the third row.
