I doubt it's possible, but it's thinking outside the box when we are talking about fluctuating game speeds.

Receiver icons should come up in order. You should be able to designate first read (red route) and the rest should come up one at a time, the higher awareness the faster. Check down should come up rather quick so that poor quarterbacks should read first read and have to wait for second or check down.

Thats a pretty good idea. Much better than the vision cone.

Even on defense the speed could correlate with the offense . Drop back and line play is on very slow speed and passing is on slow speed . So on long bombs it allows the players who are running on normal speed to interact with the ball better especially defensive backs who can play catch up to poorly thrown balls.

I believe having throwing on slow speed and line play on very slow speed would improve to the throwing animation when getting hit . It would reduce those weird animations of fumbling or throwing out of the hit.

I don't want the game speed to vary based on who has the ball.

Exactly just seems really unnecessary. I think a better idea is if you have a rookie qb based on his awareness maybe only one or two routes show up when you look at the play art, or you, the user, actually has to remember what receivers are what icons at the snap. Say X and Square light up but circle, triangle and R1 are blank.
