Goal Line Passing

Anyone have any good passing plays down near the goal line? We will say within the 10 yard mark. I just can't seem to get anyone open down there. I know, it's supposed to be hard because the field shrinks and yada yada, but I didn't know if there were any goal line beaters in any playbooks.

Yes I know about the fade but outside of that.

PA Waggle is amazing out of goalline. You just have to watch the rush and abort the PA if they don't bite. FB or backside TE on the drag are open consistently

Slants, RB to flats or Fade.

It does feel harder this year. I just go into shotgun formation to prevent the CPU from going into goal line defense (which is ALWAYS). Then depending on the alignment either audible run or pass

Re: Goal Line Passing

I've had some success with stick plays.

Inside the 5 a toss run play is effective as long as your HB has some speed or high acceleration.

Re: Goal Line Passing

TE Angle out of a 5-wide Gun set (I think it's Bunch Trips but can't remember the exact name) is my go-to.

It takes a little longer to develop than you'd like but the TE is usually wide open over the middle. If the TE isn't, usually your WR1 has single coverage on the left and I've had good success throwing jump-balls to Brandon Marshall in my Jets CFM.

Re: Goal Line Passing

i honestly always try a simple fade, provided you have a good matchup, id say it works 6/10 times and rarely gets picked off, and any play where your slot wr just runs to the flat works well if they are left uncovered off the snap

Re: Goal Line Passing

Goal line fade to Dez Bryant / A.J. Green / Julio Jones / Jimmy Graham / Rob Gronkowski / etc. Throw the ball high and away and use Aggressive Catch.

If you get single coverage against the fade, throw it. If you get doubled, look elsewhere. I like to pair it with a slot slant to keep the safety honest.
