    Disabling PS4 touchpad?

Anyone know if it's possible to disable the ps4 touchpad somehow?

I often take my hand off the controller for various things (taking a drink, checking the pc, etc.) in the middle of a game and when picking it back up have a bad habit of touching the large touchpad and calling a timeout. Was having this issue last year as well. As time has gone on I do it a lot less than when the game first came out, but every now and then I still slip and hit it. I'd much prefer an option to turn it off or change it's function. (given it's multi-button ability I thought it would be a great audible tool, but alas it's just given the select button functionality)

Oh god I do this every game. Specifically I challenge plays a lot, not even sure what's causing that (is it a swipe or something?). No way to turn it off afaik, just gotta be more careful.

I had no idea the touch pad did anything other than call timeouts. Maybe I have small hands but I've never accidentally hit it lol
