Hmm it must be a compatibility thing with whatever spread sheet application you're using. Do you experience a similar issue with the skill name drop downs in skill 1, 3 and 3 columns?

You can copy the story name from the draft stories tab and paste into the appropriate row in the main tab (use paste values not normal paste). This will make sure you have the correct naming convention for the draft stories and will ensure they work as intended.

Any advice on what to do when I'm trying to scout the 2nd and 3rd skill but keep getting the "you have already unlocked this" message?

It's happened three times now and each time with a draft story guy.

Happened to me a couple of times. Nothing I could do. The first time it was a 1E projected QB with favorable draft story (forget exactly what). His first attribute was A Thp, so I drafted him despite not scouting his second and third skills. The result? Ovr 81; Dev Quick. Of course ymmv.

Hello Everyone! New member to the forum as I found this thread through a scouting search but just after my first draft after my first offseason. I am in the 10th week of 2nd season and followed tips of scouting from the op. I have a couple questions -
I have scouted the 1st skill on most all positions except CB, WR and Qb to this point and have a few players fully scouted as they had great A's as first grade.

- when should I start scouting 2nd and 3rd skills? Or when is best time?
- when is best time to input information in this tool? Wait until I have more than 3-4 fully scouted players?
- should I scout any on CB or WR or wait on combine grades?

i scout all 3 skills at the same time. But i only move on to skills 2 and 3 if the 1st one goes by the guide. i think there is a link for it on the first page.

as far as entering it in, i say do it as you unlock skills. but i myself wait until before the draft sometimes. it depends on what my personal schedule is.

wait until after combine, you will save yourself a lot of points to not waste them on people who will probably come up as not draftable.

Yeah this has randomly happened to me a few times, I can't remember if they had a story or not but probably so.

I don't think there is really anything you can do about it. If you are offline you could temporarily control another team and you should be able to fully scout them with the other team (I did that once and it worked I was able to fully scout under the other team).

It is sort of a cheat I suppose, although really this seems to be a bug. And really you are only giving yourself 5 extra scouting points doing that (or 3 on your scouting specialty position), so you could just choose to leave yourself with 10 points left that week to balance the extra you got by temporarily controlling another team. You get 5 of them back the next week and you lose 5 of them, which balances out the 5 extra you got controlling the other team.

What's up fellas. Have a couple of questions, that I wanted to get your thoughts on.

I scouted a LE who was projected as a early 2nd rounder but is now listed as a mid 1st round. His skills are Pur B+, FM C+, HP C+. His TVR rating is 78.33 but the tool list him as: Do not draft. Is he worth still trying to draft.


Also I scouted a HB who is projected late 5th and talent round late 5th. His skills are Stiff Arm A-, Trucking B+, BC Vision B. His TVR is 79.69 and rated out as a Red Chip Prospect. When I flip him to a fullback in the tool he jumps up to a TVR of 91.66 but it now says: Risky Pick. Should I draft him and move him to FB or just keep him as RB.

Don't draft the LE.

I think the RB is your personal preference, if you use your FB as a Runner-Receiver type and actually give him the ball then I'd say move him to FB if that is what you want to do. He might be rated low as a FB but still be effecive. Like maybe the next Marcell Reese or Tolbert
