I agree. Trust the tool. If it says do not draft, believe it.

I agree. Trust the tool. Although one time I found a DE with Quick Development that came up as Do not Draft. Granted he was only rated a 68 but after one season I was able to upgrade him to a 74 with the Quick Development.

Yeah if you have a story where the chances are higher, or you know for sure a guy has quick or superstar Dev it still might be worth a punt. Probably depends on how old he is too.

I mean if he starts at 21 or 22 at 68 and is 74 with quick dev at the end of season that's not bad..

I have the expert scout and get 200 scout points each week, is this the amount it should be with expert scout? Couldn't remember what it was before...150?

I scouted a LE who was projected as a early 2nd rounder but is now listed as a mid 1st round. His skills are Pur B+, FM C+, HP C+. His TVR rating is 78.33 but the tool list him as: Do not draft. Is he worth still trying to draft.

Also I scouted a HB who is projected late 5th and talent round late 5th. His skills are Stiff Arm A-, Trucking B+, BC Vision B. His TVR is 79.69 and rated out as a Red Chip Prospect. When I flip him to a fullback in the tool he jumps up to a TVR of 91.66 but it now says: Risky Pick. Should I draft him and move him to FB or just keep him as RB.

Don't draft the DE. Those scouted skills are gash. He'd be a major statistical outlier if he is anything more than about 72 OVR tops.

Be wary of converting HBs to FB as he's unlikely to have the necessary blocking skills. You'll need to train him up in that department which is an expensive upgrade and FBs are tough to get points for. I'd say it's a big risk. Plus the tool isn't too good with FBs compared to other positions because my sample size of data is a lot smaller. So don't read too much into a high TVR here.

Re: Scouting Tool for Madden 17 CFM

Thanks Old Man Nathy and everyone in here. I appreciate the feedback and insight. As you can tell I'm preparing for another draft and wanted to get thoughts on another situation.

There's a WR in the draft who started out as being a mid 1st rounder. His scouted skills are: Catching B+, Release B, Spectacular Cat B. After the combine he graded out as Blue Chip prospect with a TVR of 87.30 and a (4.43 40 time) but a draft story came up for him saying "he dropped in the latest mock draft due to a public dispute with his coaches". He is now listed as a mid 3rd rounder. I wasn't sure which draft story to use in the tool so I plugged in the story of player left team on his own volition. Once I did that his TVR dropped to 85.55. The tool still has him at Normal development which is cool with me. Would he be worth taking in the 2nd round? As I mentioned, he's still showing as blue chip prospect.
