Re: Scouting Tool for Madden 17 CFM

Gotta thank you again OMN! I pulled the trigger on that 6th round corner with the 11th pick in my CFM last night, and nailed an absolute gem. He's the first Superstar corner we've seen in now four drafts in this league. Best part is, I get to pair him with a couple other studs that I've pulled from previous drafts using your tool.

Re: Scouting Tool for Madden 17 CFM - Version 4.1 Out Now!

Side question does anyone know how trading tagged players work... we are getting closer to the draft and I'm trying to see if I tag a player then trade him will I incur any cap hit or penalty the plan is to tag him and trade him to a user who's been desperately seeking his services to add draft picks but with out league rules and cap rules I can't afford to tag him and be stuck with him if I would incur any of his tagged salary

As far as I know tagged players have no signing bonus. This means you shouldn't incur any cap penalties. As long as there is no signing bonus you should be good.

I thought it was half signing bonus, half salary.

No. Franchise tags are just straight money. No bonus involved. At least that's how it is in the NFL and I'm almost for sure that's how it works in Madden.

Re: Scouting Tool for Madden 17 CFM

Looking for a little guidance from some veterans here as this is my first time playing madden. Im in a league with 5 buddies and we are about to draft for the first time but i have no idea how to prepare for the draft. I have 5 of the top 10 picks and have a ton of holes to fill but im not sure in what order to draft the players i want/need. Any chance i can get a little insight into how you veterans would go about this?

My Picks: 2, 3, 6, 9, 10

My positions of need in order of need: QB, C, MLB, DT, TE, RE

I found this scouting tool and plugged everything into it and have identified the top players in each position that i like but i have no idea in what order to take them. On the scouting board they go in this order(not sure if this means anything though) as well as their TVR and chip color from the scouting tool:

C: #1 - Red - 89.27 - 50% Quick/50% SS
MLB: #10 - Blue - 92.18 - 85% Normal
TE: #12 - Red - 87.77 - 85% Normal
DT: #28 - Blue - 96.89 - 85% Normal
RE: #29 - Blue - 89.53 - 85% Normal
QB: #59 - Blue - 91.86 - 85% Normal

My assumption would be that i for sure need to take the center with the 2 or 3, the QB is probably my biggest need but there are 2 QBs above him on the scouting board but he is by far the best prospect, can i wait until later to grab him or do i need to take him at 3?

Also, there are 3 TEs that look studly but only 1 RE. Is it better to draft the stud RE then try to trade for whichever TE turns out to be the best or is the reverse better?
