Then at the beginning of the off-season I traded both Forte, Decker and a mid round pick (to Tenn.) for their 2017 and 2018 first rounders and a 2018 5th

Traded down with the Bears from #1 picked up the #3 plus their 2018 first rd and a 2017 3rd rd. Then i traded #3 to Cleveland for #8, a 2018 1st and 2017 7th rd. I left the draft with this!!!
Dude you hit the jackpot. Now did you go BPA or did you go by the tool ranking?

Thanks bro! I went by the tool specifically the true value rating vs. my team needs.

Re: Scouting Tool for Madden 17 CFM

Definitely pay attention to the draft stories. Whether good or bad they're going to have pretty good ratings. The only difference will be if a person receives a positive story will end up with superstar dev. A bad review will end up with good ratings but possibly slow development.

My #1 pick had two stories. One about a his track star dad and another about how he beat the then top rated strong safety. He ended up with Superstar development trait.

That safety went from a high first-round pick to a mid 3rd round pick. That's how you find your value picks. I drafted him in the third round and he still has high 1st round ratings but just has a normal development trait. Probably would have been slow but he had a monster combine showing.

My LOLB Ja'Darius Loud while he only has a 70 ovr his story was about his monster defensive season which resulted in him winning the Heisman Trophy. That turned into a superstar development trait. I picked him up in the fourth round.

You also have to watch the draft stories especially for players that you've already entered into the tool because their skill grades will be affected as well as their projected rounds.

Re: Scouting Tool for Madden 17 CFM

The tool is great. Thanks a lot for all the hard work.

Is it possible to remove the Impact Block thing for guards ?
Some have it as best skill and are still decent prospect.

And to make every requirements cell to apply ?
I would like to get rid of those Undrafted Talent WR that appear as DRAFT, it would make the board cleaner.

Re: Scouting Tool for Madden 17 CFM

I have the protected version 1 of the scouting tool and I am trying to move data to the version 2 of the scouting tool.

Basically I need the unprotected version 1 of the scouting tool or maybe the password so I can move my data between the two spreadsheets.

I've never seen any WRs appearing as draft when their talent grade is UD. If the tool is telling you to draft them then they're probably good. What are their OVRs post draft?

With the guards, I put that rule in after a lot of consideration. I was finding that 80% of the OGs with IBK as their top skill were 70-74 OVR even if they look like studs, and there was seemingly no pattern or tell as to which prospects would fall which side of the 75 OVR divide if they have IBK as their top skill. I might change it to an automatic "risky pick" status instead for v3, but there's a good reason that rule exists and it's borne out by a large amount of data/tests now. Be wary of drafting any guard with IBK as the top skill!
