Not tested it but it should work with excel 2007 or newer. Don't think Microsoft introduced any new functions that I've made use of since then.

Yeah Hoover would be a red chip in the forthcoming v3 of the tool (assuming he has a half decent combine). Worth drafting with a late pick I'd say, though I wouldn't spend anything higher than a 5th on him given his talent grade.

Luckily this draft class is loaded with stud Man to Man CBs.
these are the type of draft classes i am getting. only positions that have multiple 1st round grades are QBs, HBs and CBs. One year had quite of few WRs and TEs go. I was able to grab a real good one in FA because of it. i am still waiting on a gem passrusher or LB. I had a good one that i drafted BPA but he was a better passrush LB than standard. i traded him for a few draft picks. i learned from you guys and this year i have like 10 picks in the first 3 rounds. So hopefully i can do like you guys and change my team in 1 season.

Re: Scouting Tool for Madden 17 CFM

Did my first season, tool worked great! 49ers are on the rise!

Round 1 - 79 rated CB Normal Dev

Round 2 - Traded out after 3 of the guys that I was targetting all went 3-10 picks before me, and figured I could get the guys I wanted later

Round 3 - 78 rated TE Quick DEV. He was a Red Zone WR who I converted to TE, was 75 as a WR but my scheme was not set to red zone so he could have been a bit higher. This was my "project" pick when I saw his really good letter grades, 6'6'' 240 and his measurables were good for a TE, but did not quite grade out as a WR so I scouted as TE instead. Went from don't draft to #1 player on the board!

Now obviously blocking was going to be bad and I knew his OVR would not quite be "#1 overall player" because of the blocking, but as a vertical threat TE I don't really care much about his blocking and was convinced he'd be high 70s or maybe even low 80s as a vertical threat TE. Came in at 78 and quickly to 80 after a few points of AWR bump.. I plan on spending XP and increasing his blocking some. This dude is gonna be such a beast I have a feeling..

Round 3 - 77 rated LG Normal Dev starter

Round 4 73 rated SS Normal Dev (probably 2nd "worst" pick but still with 90 speed he will be OK, Antoine Bethea was way too old). He's a starter but I picked up an undrafted free agent rookie that is also rated 73 so he will have to fight for his starting job..

5th and 6th rounds I had 4 picks and all QUICK DEV

74 Rated QB with 92 throw power. As the 49ers he is day 1 starter.

76 Rated WR Route runner/balanced type.. Up to 78 already and my #3..

75 rated RG (rated 73 in his "zone block" type, but in my scheme he is rated higher as 75. )

74 rated CB - Excellent coverage skills, and good quickness but a bit on the slow side speed wise (87 or 88 I think).. I think he'll make a good 3rd corner though

7th round

67 rated DT

Only 1 guy left on my board, didn't really fit my scheme, and he was a "risky pick" but I took a punt on him since I had 2 7th rounders (I traded out of the one).. I should have traded the pick, but he is a 67 rated DT who is on the practice squad

Wow, that's a hell of a draft! Well done. That might actually be the strongest top-to-bottom class I've seen anyone get since the draft class tuning update (other than classes where people have acquired loads of extra 1st/2nd round picks. Good job! Thanks for uploading your spreadsheet too.

Oh no, nightmare! Hopefully the new draft class strength analysis sheet I'm adding for v3 will help people in a similar situation so you can make sure you hit up free agency for positions of need of the draft class is weak in that area.
