I've done a CFM presentation for a new 49ers career I've started. Basically, I'm playing as the GM (simming every game) and trying to rebuild San Francisco through the draft and free agency without cheesing the CPU to keep it interesting. Had a terrible first season and now have the top pick in the draft, but I need your help to tell me what to do with it! So let me know who you think I should take at number one.

Whoever you lot (and Reddit, where I've also posted a link to this) tell me to take at #1 is who I will select! The power is in your hands...
Take the WR (McGinest) or trade back to mid round and get that QB (Dilliard)!

Of all the QBs he rated out as a Blue Chip prospect with a TVR of 84.29. Should I still take him in the first since he's the only Blue Chip prospect or another Red Chip prospect with a 86.38 TVR? Isn't that TVR low for a QB? Will he be rated like 74?
Do you have a 2nd round pick? I'd say draft someone else round 1 and try to scoop the blue chipper round 2? The A Throw Power would have me intrigued, I mean you could reach and just draft him in the 1st but you might be able to get another nice piece and then get the QB in round 2?

Yeah I have a 2nd round pick. If I don't reach in the first, I may just try to wait until the 2nd if he's still around.

That's what I did in the end (chose McGinest).

Re: Scouting Tool for Madden 17 CFM - Version 3.2 Out Now!

OP, I've actually just started a 49ers rebuild too (near and dear to my heart, see sig). I'm in year 2, went 2-14 in year 1. Bleh.

Holy cow! That is what I am saying. I never have draft classes like that. A late round steal to me is 70+ with quick or normal. 78 OVR with SS .... Man! Your team has a bright future

Re: Scouting Tool for Madden 17 CFM

Ugh, horrible class I had to work with. Plus I screwed up somewhere along the line and wound up with fewer points than I thought (I think it's because it's the first time with the inclusion of red chippers on the sheet). The tool was generally pretty good, I think there was a DT it told me not to draft who turned out to be 70-75 (no real loss as I'm pretty much set at DT). Safety seems to be a bit hit or miss. There were 3 or 4 in this class that were designated do not draft and turned out to be at least red chip quality. That includes the Heismann winner who turned out to be 80 OVR and SS dev. ##But yeah, the class depth was poor, I'd have been ok if I needed any linemen as there were quite a few. I needed a lockdown corner, there were 4 blue chippers, all first rounders and then no other draftable corners. So I traded up to the middle of the first round to try and get one, he turned out to be the worst of the group and slow dev to boot! Quite frustrating really that there'd only be 4 useful corners and of the 4, 2 were slow dev, 1 normal, 1 SS. Ah well.

Re: Scouting Tool for Madden 17 CFM

Also am doing a 49ers rebuild, although I went 10-6 the first season, 9-7 the 2nd, 13-3 the 3rd and 15-1 the 4th. The benefits of being good at playing offense I suppose.

Here are two drafts from my Texans franchise playthrough when I started recording everyone's skills in Week 2. Next file I think is a 49ers draft where I input everyone's skills and combine numbers to see how much more accurate it got (tight ends can suddenly go from undraftable to Red Chip Prospects if their combine is good enough.)
