Kicking back to automatic, why?

Seriously though this raises a larger question, is community feedback always a good thing?

Because this has been changed due to people missing field goals. Either people online or people like me who just plain aren't that good at it (I'm getting old what can I say) it's changed due to feedback.

I guess it'd be somewhat of a moot point if the slider actually worked eh?

Yes, but it shouldn't have to come to that. I did this way back in NCAA football when they decided to make that automatic too. But if I'm going to use dice and sim, there are a lot of better options than this game.

This is so ridiculous that we have to go to these extremes, it worked out of the box. EA put time and resources into making it dynamic and then they destroy it with a patch and leave us with a broken slider.

It was confirmed that the changes to kicking were made due to latency issues for some users online.

If they could somehow find a way to make kicking happen user side (think mlbts online pitching) then I think all the issues with lag would go away and they could make kicking harder again.

This is what we were told it'd be prior to release, not sure what happened.
