Question for Coach Mode Players: Block Shedding Gone?

This is only for coach mode players...

Perhaps I missed it before the patch and wasn't paying attention, but I've recently noticed that whatever active player I have selected on defense (usually, I just leave it on a DT), once he engages with a blocker, he does not attempt any moves to shed the block. No power or finesse, nothing. He just remains engaged and almost never breaks free.

I've tested this with several different players, and I keep seeing the same thing...whatever player you have selected for you to control (even though we don't in coach mode) does not seem to try and shed blocks with any moves and remains engaged.

I'm just checking to see if A) anyone sees the same thing; and B) if so, if you have solution (other than taking control of the player). Thanks.

You might be right. If so, that's a drag. I'll make sure my weakside CB is selected before each snap, until it's fixed.

Noticed the same thing. I just select the FS and let the Dline do their thing.

I'm doing the same thing now. Definitely makes a difference. I used to just select the DT, but after a season where he got barely any tackles, that's when I started to pay attention and noticed the issue. I was worried that by selecting the FS he wouldn't jump or swat at balls, but that's not the case, so I think that's the only way to go.
