Many of you winced at the title, but I don't mean you should spend tons of money and build your team in this capacity. What I did mean is that you should not get locked into the asking rate for intermediate players. Many players will accept far below their asking rate and will take deals with no guaranteed money. You can find valuable options this way. Guys in the 74-80+ range can really help your football team in the short and long term and many of them will accept ridiculously low deals. So, go offer guys what they're worth to you. You may be superbly surprised at who you're able to haul in. Just as an example, I've seen prospective starters asking for ~4M accept deals worth only 750K with no guaranteed money.

Yeah I tend to go after guys that don't have many, or any, offers at all, and just low ball them. Usually get them for the price that I chose

The contracts that are shown aren't what the player is asking for, it's a fair market value based on their position and overall

How is it cheese? NFL clubs submit below market value deals all the time, and many are accepted. The burden is on you to articulate how this is cheese.

I don't think it's an exploit, I think it just shows how horrible the CPU AI is with regards to roster management.

I'm biased and probably borderline agenda posting with how often I bring this up so I'll chill...
