The few area Madden did not improve ~ formations subs, specialist ratings, sp rating

Sp is speed.

I played some of the NCAAs but this is the first Madden purchase since 2003. It's so much better than the years I tested it. It was more than buyable and the boycott was over after 10 years.

There is one familiar nest of flaws but I think I can rectify it for the team I'm using, however unless there are some banging rosters out there this universal.

I'm using the Titans and I noticed the playbook is relatively specialized along with analytics. The only thing that's missing are specialized formation subs on offense and defense.

Kendall Wright, who is arguably their best WR never plays. He's not in any formation and he is never subbed in. He isnt rated right either. Wright is the second fastest WR in Titans on Madden but in real life he is pretty slow for a wideout. He ran a 4.6 40. That said he still gets deep in real life because he gets short well and is a master of the double move. Wright just demonstrated this on a TD pass today. He lost a defender in a double move and was wide open. Mariota almost over threw him. He had to dive to catch it. Madden is so much more of a sim that these things start to stand out.

Likewise on defense DT Karl Klug, who was a top five rated player last week and is making plays this week, never plays in Madden. He's not in any formation and he is never subbed in. This has always been an issue in Madden. The rosters don't come with specialist formations subs and even if they did the ratings would render them redundant.

DTs Klug and Blackson arent specialist they are just guys who have played themselves into heavy rotation minutes. The drop in overall between they and 'starters' Jones and Woods is artificial. As good as Orakpo and Morgan have been, the backup OLBs are still in the rotation. There is no reason for me to play them in Madden. Let me take off my homer glasses and just say that its clear the Titans have a deeper defense in real life. This is true at DT, LB and especially true at the safety position where I think they actually overrated the 'starters'.

Da'Norris Searcy is overrated in the game and arguably so is Rashad Johnson but the backups Daimion Stafford and Kevin Byard are underrated so again this justifies the lack of formation and fatigue subs on defense.

This is even more noticeable with the Titans style of defense. The Dick Labeau defense is all about different fronts with specialized personal. Just saw them stack two stand up DTs over the center on 3rd and long.

What is the best way to remedy this? Are there rosters that address these issues? Is it possible to save formation subs online and in a franchise?

I know this won't answer your question, but you're overrating Wright just a tad. Well, more than a tad. And I don't believe that Klug plays NT

Being arguably the best WR on the Titans means you are like a 77 overall. I'm not even saying he deserves a ratings boost. I'm actually saying his speed is overrated though his abilities to overcome his lack of speed might be underrated. It would be depend on how he compares to everyone else. Klug plays all over the 3 down sets in real life yet he is not technically a starter.
