I don't like it at all. surely this should now be based on size+momentum+skill+random vs size+momentum+skill+random not I pressed a button quickly with my useless player and broke a tackle from luke kuechly.

also i mash x all the time because that was a thing once.

remember when they first put truck stick in and you could just run over CB and Safeties for fun.

Re: Tackle Battle : What are your post release thoughts?

I generally hadn't paid much attention to it. More often than not, when i pops up i'm either to slow on the draw to hit the button, or do hit a button that's incorrect.

Not sure if it was due to this thread, or the fact i bumped up quarter length last night from 11 to 13, however i did seem to see it more frequently. If i actually hit the correct button when i was supposed to i thought it was beneficial, and i liked it.

Overall, may game last night was a great experience. Not sure if it was an "improvement" from the patch, but my animations were extra special yesterday, after not having played since the weekend. I kept attributing the game play to the longer quarters, but something about it was feel good last night.

Anyhow, I marked indifferent for the tackle battles. I don't think they take anything away.

This is also my problem, at least in MUT I got Emmitt Smith who all you have to do is hit X but yeah, I always hit X.

I don't know where that habit come from (NFL2K maybe?) but I cannot break it and it's ruining this new "feature" for me tbh

Unnatural.
Cheesy.
Clunky.
Distracting.

A myriad of numbers scrolling along behind every player numerically quantifying everything from awareness to pass blocking .....and oh yeah....break tackle and tackle.

Here's a novel idea: how 'bout making all those numbers actually mean something and noticeably play out on the field in an organic manner?

There are enough buttons to mash. We don't need any more.

You think like a sim player though which is the niche minority. The online players want stick skills only to determine the outcome, so if it takes a Shadow of Mordor mini game to win a Tackle Battle, that's pretty sweet to them, unless of course they lose then it's cheese.

I would rather attributes to determine if a tackle is broken or not.

It's really stupid. I really don't remember seeing "standing tackles" on the tv on sundays.
