Missing formations in formation subs

So in my franchise with the Browns... I'm using the Falcons defensive playbook and I know for a FACT it has the 3-3-5 Sam formation in it.. however when I go to the the formations sub screen, it isn't there. Major annoyance since I enjoy the game planning aspect of the game And putting my players where I want them to be... can anyone help me with this? I also haven't seen the big Nickel package neither

The formations you see in the formation subs UI is determined by your playbook selection in the My Coach > Schemes menu. If you are picking your playbook via the Controller Select screen, that's why you aren't seeing all the formations.

I selected my playbook under the scheme screen

Hm. Check to make sure your selected playbook at the controller select screen matches the one you expect and isn't being overridden by your user profile settings thing?

I've had no issue swapping playbooks in franchise, I use the Vikings defensive playbook as the Cowboys, which also has the 3-3-5 Nickel set you speak of, so there's one data point anyway.

^ this..I had similar issue..until I made sure my profile playbook also matched

All the advice given on this thread should have addressed problem. The only other thing that could be giving you a problem is that since the 3-3-5 Sam is considered a 'sub-package', it is possible formation subs are not available. Still doesn't explain why that particular formation does not show up at all. Is there another 3-3-5 package you can get to show up so as you can substitute from that?

I had an issue where formations weren't showing up in my custom playbook on game day. This was before I put in a game plan. After assigning at least 1 play from each formation into game plan, everything worked out. For the heck of it, go through that defense and make sure 3-3-5 Sam is showing game plan stars.
