Re: Running

I think it really depends on what plays you call. I don't really have issues running the ball. I usually run HB dive and the rare inside zone but both get me plenty of room to run.

Re: Running

Make sure auto moves is turned off. Do not sprint through the hole. Keep in mind the cpu knows what play you call and what buttons you push. Don't be afraid to run into the red box. THis is where a lot of my big runs occur. If the safety is back I don't flip the play, change direction or audible anymore. The cpu knows what you called and will often over pursue leaving nice cut back lanes. If you call an outside run and see the defense sprint over there on the snap look to cutback on either side of the center. Just like irl the play art is just a first read on where to run. Good running backs find the open hole.

Re: Running

One thing that is crucial is stop pressing turbo. Literally go one game without pressing it once and you will see a difference. When you hold turbo the d lineman disengage from your lineman and your stick movement is very limited. You have to slow everything down, let your blockers do the work and just find the gaps.

Re: Running

Seems like pressing turbo makes the defenders gravitate to the ball carrier like a magnet.
