Angry What gives? Why didn't my player win POTW award?

So I'm playing as the Jets in my connected franchise year 2.

I got lucky and got a Superstar 80 overall QB first round and a quick 73 overall HB with 97 speed third round..

Third game in the season we play the Colts, we're both 0-2...and until the Fourth it was a close shootout.

I got the win, along with outstanding performances from my rookie QB and RB..however none of them got the POTW award

Yet Andrew Luck gets it?

Andrew Luck stats

30-40, 353 passing yards, 3 TD , 0 INT

Jets Rookie QB Jared Mathieu

17-18, 364 passing yards, 2 TD , 0 INT , 155.7 passing rating , 1 Rushing TD (2 fumbles )

Jets Rookie RB Darrien Anderson

32 Attempts, 190 Yards, 5.9 Avg, 2 TD, Long - 75 Yards

My running back had 80 yards until late in the fourth when the Colts defense got tired then he broke for 75 yards...

I just don't understand the logic in this as my players had better games, yet mr ugly duckling himself, Andrew Luck gets AFC POTW

Re: What gives? Why didn't my player win POTW award?

the two fumbles by your rookie QB hurt him a lot, so he's out.

The game weighs heavily on TD's, Luck had more TD's than your running back.

Overall, it's just a POTW, and not too important at all. I wouldn't sweat it. Every week, almost every team has someone who could be considered POTW (in real life and in the game).

The problem is you're using the word logic with maddens award system.

I don't know how its programmed but, it's not logical.

When the game picks stuff like MVP it really only looks at a QB's yards and TD passes. We had a guy in our league have his QB win MVP with 40 TD passes and 30 ints and his team was 5-11.

Makes little sense

Well that sucks, I'm trying to quickly develop my players and that's a tough pill to swallow

Not true, otherwise there would never be an OP MVP who was not a QB.

Teach your QB how to hang on to the ball better. Fumbles lost are usually worse than intercptions.

When I say TD passes I was meaning TD's.

It does not matter how many ints fumbles or other things a player gets. Yards and TD's for offensive players are all you need.

A guy can throw 34 picks and still win it.
