Which do you prefer Offline or Online?

Gaming is my escape from dealing with people after long work days. I have no inclination dealing with more people in my 'fun time'. I want to fire-up a game when I want to and not have to schedule my time around someone else's schedule.

They could completely do away with multiplayer for every game out there and I wouldn't miss a beat...

I would like to try a sim online league with M18. My main problem is I don't have a smart phone (no interest in getting one either) and it seems like a lot of leagues require the person to download a chat/text app to schedule games. I haven't really looked into it but I'm assuming a 21st century mobile phone is necessary.

Most of the top tier chat apps like Group Me are also online based, meaning you can use them from a computer browser. A couple guys from my leagues also have ancient technology from 2000 years ago such as your self,and that's how they communicate.

I pick this game up only for online franchise. While issues happen, a good sim league is a blast and provides quality sim gameplay.

Ive never done sports games online and never will. Only games like Battlefront, Battlefield ,etc...

Online, offline you're left with the AI who IMO don't provide any real competition. The All-Madden AI isn't hard to take care of if you know what you're doing, just gotta deal with a high CPU QB comp %. Their AI in things like roster moves, drafting, etc., is pretty poor too.

In an online league you're competing with 31 other people, most of which know how to run a team better than the AI. I generally play online from release until about April or May (when most leagues die), then I take a break from Madden over the summer to get me hype for the next release and keep it fresh at the same time.

There's just something so satisfying about battling against a league full of other people and taking that Lombardi home. There's a lot of cool guys out there too, you can end up playing with the same group of people for multiple years.
