I just play Madden on my PS4, I used to use it for Blu Ray but no longer. I do play NBA 2K but that is my sons game.

I did it and purchased the PS4 Slim 1 TB, MLB the Show 17, Rory PGA Tour, NHL 16 (the best version), Kingdom hearts 1.5/2.5 and will get Madden 18.

Sounds pretty good?

I also buy the new consoles to play just two games, Madden and NHL. No regrets.

Re: Is it worth owning a PS4 or Xbox One for two sports games?

Once my FPS FBPro 98 leagues started to lose steam, along with the complete demise of the franchise when FBPro 99 was recalled, I bought a used Dreamcast off Ebay to play NFL 2K. That move led to me becoming primarily a console gamer.

The awesomeness of Halo on the OG Xbox sealed the deal. Suddenly, consoles were a great place to play shooters. Been buying Macs for my computing needs ever since.

I have a PS4 just for Madden and MLB the Show. Considering those two represent at least 50% of of gaming time, I would say it is worth it.
