The Sim Experiment: Redefining The "Sim" CFM

Your all welcome to join me tonight (06/23) at 9 p.m EST for a live stream Q&A session. I will discuss the mission and objectives of the CFM, and answer any questions you may have. You can find me on Twitter @BeAsTMode4MVP for more information. My pinned tweet includes links to the League Synopsis & the League Rules documents. I will tweet out a link tonight when I go live via TSE YouTube page.

Well, I don't think "Sim" needs any redefinition. It means NFL simulation. Should be obvious. Blaine Gabbert shouldn't play like Tom Brady. Holding penalties shouldn't be determined by the motion of the running back or a pre-snap motion (which is idiotic). CPU controlled QBs shouldn't complete 90% of their passes every game. Injuries shouldn't be limited to ball carriers or those interacting with them. Von Miller shouldn't be brick walled in a one on one match up for 6 seconds every pass play. Et cetera.

Pretty obvious. The truest realization of "Sim" video game football is something that resembles what we see on Sunday.

Many of those things should be addressable in M18 thanks to the new play styles.
However, penalties will still be random dice roll & trait based in M18.

This CFM will primarily focus on Scouting, Gameplanning, and Playcalling. If you read both documents, you will see what I mean by redefining the Sim CFM. This will be unlike anything ever attempted in a Madden Franchise setting.

I'm uploading the 1st Q&A session from last night to the league YouTube channel now. I'll post a link in this thread when it is published. We will have another session next week if you want to join in and ask your own questions.

I saw it looking at your twitter. I like some of the options you put on play calling, forcing players to select more realistic play calls.
