Switching modes

This is probably a dumb question but many of you seem to know way more about what you can and cant do than me.
Can i switch to owner mode without starting over with my roster? Meaning keeping the team as is?

Yeah, while in your current franchise, you can retire and create a new owner or coach and select your old team.

I haven't tried having a owner and coach account on the same franchise.

I am in Coach mode now so i dont know if there is a option to retire the owner. Ill have to check it out but i think i can only retire the Coach but not sure.

Yeah take a look. Or just create a new character if you can't Retire.

So I would have to start my franchise over as an owner and won't be able to save my team as it is now, right?

Update:

So retired my HC and created a new charactor and i can indeed switch to Owner mode and it saved my team/roster to how it was in coach mode so im happy about that. Only thing is it didnt retire my HC after creating the owner(which is me) even though i retired him prior to doing it. He is now the HC of my team and i cant fire him,lol. Oh well, ill fire him after the next season.
