meh, I see it as valid. It's a fairly last minute venue change.

There was also a year in NCAA (I can't remember which) where a ton of the stadiums were generic. One year they had them all, next year tons were generic, then back to having them all. So they do weird stuff sometimes.

That was when they moved from ps2/xbox to PS3/360. The stadiums hadn't been removed. They jsut weren't created yet.

As others have stated, Madden has done a great job of this in recent years.

I honestly never realized that was why...lol. I guess when it happened I was too young to think of that, but old enough to go "hey what the hell!"

Yeah, that was NCAA 07 on the XBOX 360. If I recall, there was a huge uptick in the amount of geometry and overall detail required to build the stadiums compared to Xbox/PS2. I think almost all were in by 2008 save a few.
