Is it time for Madden to move up their release date?

I'd say no, leave it where it is, or launch closer to the NFL Regular season. The development schedule is already very crunched for them. Plus they usually release the week 1 rosters on week 1, and that's when a lot ofpeople start CFM modes.

They used to release it a week earlier, but pushed it back to the last week of August about 4 or 5 years ago. They still have the early release with EA Access, etc.

Would be nice to have a beta maybe two weekends or weeks before release. Just to give us a taste, and for them to fine tune the game. With NHL now doing betas, It would only make sense for madden. Wishful thinking I know though. Especially for something like mut squads. Would be embarrassing if that mode is riddled with bugs launch day.

Yes a demo would be great to troubleshoot . Also would be nice to practice new controls like target passing , hit stick , Etc

I heard awhile back someone talking about demo cycles. Could've been Rex. But, ultimately, it's not worth it. A demo is a completely different 'product' that takes up resources and as we've seen in the past can be based on a really early build that ends up being completely different.

I have to admit, I'm 100% with the devs on this. People can complain about madden (I know I do ), but I really think we're all better off without a demo.

That being said, a beta would be really cool to do which would basically be a demo. They will NEVER do this, however, for the entire madden universe. They would only do this for gamechangers or some secret society like the illuminati or something. They tend to be a little paranoid about their product. This is probably more the marketing, not necessarily the devs, but ea, in general, doesn't want all the negative talk about the game early or whatnot. So, I don't think regular folks will ever get a beta. That would be super cool, though. Get a week of beta in June or July? Maybe, tie it to first season of training camps or something?

Instead, we now don't even get gameplay footage till the month the game drops. Lol.

I really wish they would release it in early August but where it is now is fine with me but if they are going to release it late August I think that we should definitely have gameplay vids out before Aug. 1st

Yeah, demos aren't free, wouldn't go down that rabbit hole. OP said it themselves, it's doing fine, which is why I don't think there's any reason to move it up.

u can get the rosters 100% still do the info in aug this wouild allow their own time in the sports car

less patchs


or relase in late aug with rosters updates every 2 to 4 weeks
