CFM Guys - fun ways to determine league draft order??

I run a 32 man user sim league for going on 4 years now and wanted to switch things up from the usual first come, first serve or online randomizer.

I thought of a new idea, hope you guys can let me know if its a good idea or not:

I randomize the users in my league then assign them to the list of teams in the NFL teams in alphabetical order. We take the REAL LIFE teams' total yards and then assign the draft order by teams with the most total yards at the end of 3 weeks.

Just to be clear, they are not stuck with the REAL LIFE preseason team for Madden 18. It's pretty much fantasy football before the regular season starts. The more points(yards) the higher your draft order.

Thoughts?

*I mentioned it in my league and guys were confused. I thought it was pretty simple and fun.

I do a livestream on Twitch. I put 32 ping pong balls with their names on them in a bucket. shake it up and pull a ball. Whoevers name it is gets 1st pick, and the process repeats itself.

Kinda adapting a team selecting method my friends and I used for one-off Madden games while we were in college:

Pick up a controller. Hit the random select button, and there's your team. You may either stay with the team you end up with in this manner, or you may discard that team and retry by pressing random select again (keep in mind that you could end up with the same team in the retry). You get two total retries (ergo three potential teams), and once you exhaust your final retry you are stuck with whatever team you end up with on the final try.

For franchise mode purposes, any try or retry where a user pulled a team which was already taken could simply be ignored.

Is this for fantasy drafts? Can you determine draft order for that in M18?

This is for picking teams for the CFM year, not the actual draft within the franchise.

League I'm in did a lottery draft based on W/L record. The more losses you have the more chances you got at a top pick etc.

Similar to the league I'm in that also counted longevity, and contributions to the league in their formula (podcasts, twitter, blogs) etc........

WWE2k Battle Royal Simulation. Everyone gets a wrestler and simulate the battle royal.

How about:

•5 worst user records last year get 1st 5 lottery picks
•5 best user records pick last
•everyone else gets randomized

WWE2k Battle Royal Simulation. Everyone gets a wrestler and simulate the battle royal.

Did this for fantasy football and was the most intense rumble ever.

My league goes off of Seniority. There are some members that have been in league for past 7 years.
