Any word on custom and shareable draft classes

Just wondering if anyone heard anything as this would help tenfold with immersion

"Not at this time."

I don't have the interview readily available, but that's what some big whig at EA said when asked.

Just another reason why I'm not excited for Madden 18.

Even though that should be the obvious and logical step after finally allowing player editing, the feature is absent.

Just count it as something else EA has done in a half-baked way and left it that way. It is one of the negative criticisms I have of this current development team. A couple years back they promised us that the days of gimmicky "back of the box" features and one year features were over. They lied, we still get features added in one year but then they never build on it.

Re: Any word on custom and shareable draft classes

Last year at this time John White was on a podcast hyping up Madden 17 and he said two things he would hope to get into Madden 18 would be community draft classes and bring back real NFL coordinators. For whatever reason EA just never gets around to this. Someone suggested just have the OC & DC with editable names like NCAA did, that's all they need to do, that's it. These 2 things would make Madden franchise mode so much better.

Frostbite rebuild and losing a portion of CFM devs to NBA Live for the year. That's what happened.

Plus losing the rest of the devs to The Longshot mode. Franchise was given some minor tweaks/additions and then never touched again from the sound of it. But they did hint that they now have the capability to add in features through tuner sets so there is always hope for at least some minor changes after launch.

1. (repeating myself here)They said the same thing with the launch of the then called Connected Careers Mode. One of the major selling points was how easy it would be to add things in the future.

2. Longshot and Frostbite was not something that was decided overnight between now and then. They knew at the time that Longshot and the game engine would require significant development time. So was he just blowing smoke or was there some corporate suits overruling developers? Both are equally undesirable.
