Gamestop midnight release news

I actually preordered the game at GameStop, but changed my mind because of digital copy costing $12 less. Didn't think a 3 hour difference would validate spending more money.

I lived very near where you are and for years never once had an issue getting NCAA or Madden at midnight at Walmart. There'd normally be half dozen to a dozen guys in jerseys with a handful of pissed off looking girlfriends till the clock hit midnight and the elderly lady could slowly ring up our games.

Back then if you'd have told me I could hit a button and magically have the game on my console without leaving the house I'd have thought it sounded amazing but I kind of miss it.

But if he wants it at midnight, he can simply cancel his physical copy disc and buy the digital instead which he will be able to have ready to go at midnight Friday morning. Seems like really complaining about nothing IMO. You cant expect a business to open up at midnight every time a version of a game is released. GS made a business decision to open up at midnight for the GOAT edition (probably because exponentially more people bought that in that area) and not do it twice in a week.

Can't just play & go anymore like you used to on midnight release since you gotta wait for all the updates & installations to finish.
