Maybe I am looking ito it too much,but it is annoying that Longshot and Mut get the first two big tabs, and franchise gets half the space.

My feeling about that GUI aside in some of their games it lists them in the last order played (UFC for one,) so if you play Franchise it might get "top billing."

I mean it's a smart business move to display what is new and what is the most popular mode.

What I'm upset about is the "Resume" tile. Hopefully that wasn't taken away!

It's actually 2/3 the size, not half. But even more importantly, it's just a menu screen.

I feel like its just nitpicking at this point. Why wouldn't they put their cash cow and new game mode in the front? Or like someone else said, it's a freaking menu.

Yeah, but this is to be expected. MUT makes the most money, so it's first. They're pushing Longshot, so it's 2nd, and then comes old reliable franchise. Lol. It is what it is.

Hopefully people state loud and clear that they dont like Longshot because I dont want EA wasting another year o this like they did on FIFA! Franchise needs every bit of attention it can get

Majority of the Madden community wants a career/story mode so its here to stay. It would be extremely stupid for EA to have a career mode this year then drop it next year. Also longshot isnt the only reason why CFM doesn't have any huge features this year. Most of the CFM team was moved over to NBA Live 18 to work on that games franchise mode.

Also longshot isnt the only reason why CFM doesn't have any huge features this year. Most of the CFM team was moved over to NBA Live 18 to work on that games franchise mode.

If a majority of the community want something like Longshot then I will give them that but I don't feel like that is the case. However, we will see the reception upon release. If the NBA live thing you told me is true, then that is quite a shame.

As a franchise player, if you add a new game mode but can't work on a game mode that hasn't been changed for years, you don't get the benefit of my doubt or my dollar.

Actually, this menu looks like EA is simply trying to move most of their games in the same direction...NHL has a very similar setup. I play exclusively franchise or play now in both of those games...I'd assume the resume tab still appears (as it did last year in both Madden in NHL). I think this is just the standard layout when you first get into the game.
